For the more adventurous and rustic experience, we have some exciting options for even the most seasoned camper. First of all, our Yurts are the ultimate experience of keeping in touch with the outdoors, with minimal environmental impact. We have moved Yurts around from location to location in the past, without leaving much of a footprint at all. The Yurts are completely gas and gravity run, so this means obviously means no electricity. A Yurt is a pleasant experience to say the least, once a Yurt guest always a Yurt guest! We are also excited to offer some exceptional private campgrounds in a few different locations on the Ranch. It sure is a piece of mind knowing that your campsite is waiting for your arrival!

This crystal clear, gem of a lake has 2 completely separated "camp deck" sites. Located just past Alleyne lake through our private access gate. These are the only two campsites on all of Crater Lake. At one time, Yurts were located on these same grounds. A large framed deck, fire pit, picnic table and outhouse are at each location. Its a short walk to the water from either site, as each deck is perched overlooking this wonderful lake. There are no boats provided at these sites and 4x4 vehicles are recommended as the terrain is fairly steep getting in and out. Trailers and campers are permitted at both sites. Firewood is not provided at these sites.
camping at Alleyene Lake
Located on the far end of the lake through our private access gate are 5 rustic yet beautiful campsites overlooking the crystal clear Alleyne Lake. Each site has enough space to accommodate a small trailer or camper. Campgrounds 1 and 2 are located together, while 3, 4 and 5 are a little further up the hill. Spectacular views and total privacy is the draw here. Firewood is not provided at any of these 5 campsites.

It is hard to describe the airy, bright feeling you get from staying in a Yurt. They are a circular tent (24' diagonal), originally designed by the Mongols. Nowadays, they are constructed of heavy canvas, covering a sturdy lattice frame. All of our Yurts are insulated and have a steeped roof culminating in a skylight dome.
Equipped with a wood stove, cozy futon couch, coffee table dining area and two bunk beds with a double on the bottom and single on top, the Yurt offers a serene and uncommon sanctuary for up to 6 people. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, cutlery, pots and pans as well as a sink complete with hot and cold running water. A propane refrigerator, stove and lighting ensures you have all the comforts of home! An outdoor shower with hot water and an outhouse complete the 'Yurt' experience. We have a total of 5 Yurts in 4 different locations on the Ranch. Each offers a unique experience.
Salmon Lake Yurt
Situated across the lake from our popular Salmon Lake Resort. This Yurt puts you right on the shore of this popular fishing lake. You are welcome to enjoy all the amenities at the Resort including the swimming pool, playground and store. It is a 10 minute drive into the Yurt (4x4 is recommended) or travel between the Yurt and the Resort in your supplied boat which is yours to use during your stay. The Yurt at Salmon Lake is a nice peaceful retreat, only a few minutes away from all the action!
Wasley Lake Yurts
Wasley Yurt #1 and Wasley Yurt #2, are spaced quite far from each other to ensure total relaxation. Enjoy complete privacy while staying on Wasley Lake. Our TWO Yurts are the only accommodations on this lake and our private road is the only drive in access! This is a remote location over 1.5 hours drive from our Home Ranch along dirt roads. Wasley Lake is infamous for hosting extremely large Rainbow Trout to the patient angler, fish over 10 pounds have been caught in this lake, while the average trout in these waters is around the 3 pound mark. A 4x4 is required. 2 rowboats included at each Yurt.
Jerry's Yurt
Also known as Mellin Lake, Jerry's Lake is the former location and popular destination of our once "Jerry's Cabin". Private and secluded, this will again be a popular fishing destination. Mellin Lake is known for it's fast and furious fly fishing for Rainbow Trout in the 2-3 pound class.
Minnie Lake Yurt
This Yurt is located right on the shores of Minnie Lake, actually it is the only structure on Minnie Lake. The rental cost of this Yurt includes rod fees on Minnie Lake, and if weather conditions deteriorate, some of our other "exclusive access" lakes may be offered. As many know, this lake is rated amongst the top fly fisheries for Rainbow Trout in all of Canada!
